Dunkin’ Donuts menu items are neither of those has a breakfast sandwich deal for you — as long as you are seeing double.
The value menu the company launched on Monday, called Dunkin’ Go2s, is for its breakfast sandwiches. It’s a two-fer.
Here’s the deal:
- Two Egg & Cheese Wake-up Wraps for $2
- Two Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches served on English Muffins for $3
- Two Egg, Cheese & Bacon Breakfast Sandwiches served on Croissants for $5
Note that you must buy two to get the deal. The single-order prices remain $1.39 for the wrap sandwich, $2.69 for the egg and cheese and $3.49 for the bacon, egg and cheese.
“It’s simply a way to offer a choice… to let people come in, get what they want and then get on with their day,” said Tony Weisman, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’ Donuts U.S.
News of the double-portion offer comes 10 days after the Journal of the American Medical Association published a new study, which found that obesity rates among U.S. adults is rising.
By the end of March, Dunkin’ Donuts finished the national roll-out of its streamlined menu. The smaller menu began in January in New England and upstate New York.
The Canton, Mass.-based coffee chain had offered two Egg, Cheese & Bacon Breakfast Sandwiches for $5 in October and November and two Wake-up Wraps for $2 in July and August.
As the fast-food world becomes more crowded, numerous chains are turning to deals to lure customers in. For example, McDonald’s introduced its new $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu in January and Subway brought back its $5 Footlong. The month before that, Taco Bell announced it would add 20-plus new items to its $1 value menu in 2018
“This industry has always been focused on value,” Weisman said. “At the moment, the consumer is enjoying an enormous amount of choice. That’s good for consumers.”
